Idea

We have an elevator pitch. We are already working in BoP markets and want to improve our current offering.

Our approach is to bring Low-cost Solar technology to the Base of the Pyramid through the co-creation of a lighting system that incorporates Internet service for people who are living in vulnerable communities. We sell internet access, mobile phone charging and the opportunity to discover the world from communities in extreme poverty and conflict zones.

Team

We have a business network and can get introduced to the right people. We can build the product. Given the time and money, we can deliver on our promises.

We build solar street lighting systems. Our value proposition is that each post has internet access for those communities, so they can connect to the Internet, work online, study and access information. Lamp posts also load the cell batteries, all of this is monetized.

Inclusiveness

We involve low-income groups as consumers. We involve low-income groups as producers. We involve low-income groups as distributors. We involve low-income groups as employees.

Our business idea is inclusive first because we do technology transfer at the Base of the Pyramid. We have a collective approach to learning, the business provides gender security and Internet opens the door to training, employment and access to information.

Improved security for girls and women. Decrease of 70% of vandalism and attacks on women, access to employment and teleworking, virtual access to education, identification of areas of fear in communities. We can illuminate and connect to the Internet a community of 1200 pax in 3 days.
