One of the business ideas: Produce & sell Jute fiber reinforced plastic granule (JutePP), as the substitute raw material for plastic products which has the potential to reduce plastic usage in the world. The project will also create farmer to factory Jute supply chain avoiding intermediaries through engaging with development agencies to support BoP

We plan to start by building a community of passionate customers. We have identified one or more revenue streams. We have a cash-flow prognosis. We plan to monetise our offering in the next phase.

Juteborg AB will commercially produce this granule in Bangladesh and sell the granule to the plastic product manufacturers. Besides, as the innovator and owner of the Jute granule, Jutborg will get loyalty of certain percentage on the sales volume.

Inclusiveness

We involve low-income groups as producers. We involve low-income groups as distributors. We involve low-income groups as employees.

The project will also connect Jute farmers and Jute mill avoiding intermediaries through engaging with development agencies. So, the social Impact of the project is sourcing $2.5 million worth of raw Jute fiber which will increase livelihoods for 5,000 farmers and their families, with 4 times the current average income ($183 per year).

If we consider cloth hangers as the finished products (as example), by producing only 40 million hangers in a year (which is only 0.20% of the total world hanger volume) with 50% fewer plastics, the customer could contribute directly in avoiding 1680 MT CO2 emission per year which is equivalent to 189K MT of gasoline consumption. JutePP production is connected with an inclusive farmer to factory supply chain which could increase earning by 4 times for 5000 jute farmers.
