Green Banana innovates new, delicious ways of making everyone’s favourite pasta-based meals even healthier, more nutritious, gluten free using green bananas, a fusion of other pulses, legumes, and vegetables, all while positively impacting small-scale farmers in Uganda. In Uganda, green banana farmers eke out a living through the sale of their crop, which during peak harvest seasons, is not even able to be sold in its entirety.

Green Banana Food Company is a social enterprise, registered in the Netherlands & Uganda, that uses under-utilized produce and turns it into high nutrient, high value food products. We build new partnerships, and, with innovation and enterprise, we make a positive impact on your favorite meals & on small farmers.

Green Banana Food Company was set up by Sean Patrick, who grew up with a love for food & seeking out interesting food fusions: For me, Green Banana Food is about creating something, new and fresh while making a positive impact and sharing a bit of myself with consumers.

We plan to use a production model, profits of which will be fed back into actors at the start of our supply chain.


Inclusiveness

We partner directly with the local farmers in Uganda who produce the green bananas, pulses, & legumes that go into our products. What’s more, % of our profit goes into an investment fund so that farmers and the local community can access low-interest loans that enable them to improve their farming practices & create entrepreneurial opportunities.
