Fair Photo Agency Planetary change is the mission, starting with the human race

We want to empower young females in Bangladesh, and at the same time influence the consumer behaviour in the west in favour for a more ethical and sustainable consumerism. We think that photography/visual communication is a powerful instrument to make an impact on this. This is why we are creating a digital tool that provides opportunities for these women to easily become photo entrepreneurs, and at the same time providing sustainable brands with a creative imagery that will break through the media jungle.

The process:
1. A brand that needs tailored stock images submits a project online and for free at fairphotoagency.com/dreamclick
2. Bangladeshi women upload images that could be a good fit for that project, and hence an image bank with various suggestions is created for that particular brand.
3. The brand buys the desired images directly from this bank, at a fixed price of US$65 per image, which is equivalent to 1 month’s pay at a Sweatshop for these women.

Fundraising

This venture has not initiated a round of financing on this platform. If they choose to, the summary of the fundraising round will appear to registered investors here.

Idea

We have an elevator pitch. We have a revolutionary new idea that will change the world.

We want to empower young women in Bangladesh, by providing them with opportunities that allow them to become financially strengthened. At the same time, they benefit the imagery for sustainable products and services in the west. This will be conducted via an online tool that enables fair brands to easily hire and collaborate with these females.

Product

We have no working demo or prototype and need funding to start the development. We have developed the product ourselves and own all of the IP for the product.

The framework technology is already coded and live through fairphotoagency.com, which obviously gives this initiative a great head start. We will be able to launch an MVP of this initiative within a couple of months after the funding is in place.

Revenue

We plan to start by building a community of passionate customers. We have identified one or more revenue streams. We have a cash-flow prognosis. We plan to monetise our offering in the next phase.

The platform is solely commission based. All payments that is made through the site will be transferred to us, on which we will then transfer 78% (not finalized) of that amount to the respective Bangladeshi photographer who did the job. The client uses the platform as any webshop, with payments done by card via our already implemented provider Stripe. The payments made by us, to the respective photographer, is then processed through PayPal. On-site help for these females will be conducted.

Inclusiveness

We involve low-income groups as producers.

We'll empower a large number of female garment workers in Bangladesh by providing them with photo job opportunities via our platform. They will be able to sell images to sustainable brands in west, and hence be able to support for themselves. One image being sold is equal to one month's salary in a Sweatshop.

There are 5 million Sweatshop workers in Bangladesh today. We want to financially help them before they end up in the factory. The platform will be able to house an unlimited number of photographers. Depending on the number of aesthetically talented females, we are looking at helping 1 million. After this initiative is up and running, our plan is to add additional functions that will be tailored for other exposed groups/countries as well, such as for example young females exposed to trafficking
