About Me

My field of specialty lies in Public Health. I possess extensive experience in managing Public Health program, and have recently managed a Pre Hospital Emergency Resources Project for the Global Emergency Care Collaborative aimed at increasing the utilization of high quality emergency care available at a rural Hospital's emergency department in South Western Uganda. During my tenure, i noticed that very often, patients die from easily preventable conditions, deaths that would have been averted with timely, quality emergency care. Poverty and health outcomes are closely correlated, and business ventures at the bottom of the pyramid may potentially disrupt the poverty cycle contributing to better health outcomes particularly among rural populations where the burden of disease is high.

Why are you interested in being part of IB Accelerator?

I am interested in using business ventures particularly social enterprises models to address global health and development issues. I am linking the food and agriculture sector to Maternal Newborn and Child Health to develop an innovative social venture that would contribute to better health outcomes among women and children with a focus on rural populations.
