I am responsible to facilitate the implementation of a ‘micro-franchise’ pilot around nutrition in Ethiopia. I studied marketing management in graduate school after which I’ve been working with Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency, where I was responsible for increasing export market knowledge of target Farmer Cooperative Unions by linking them to potential buyers, coaching them on export proceedings and business communications. I also worked with Ethiopian Trading Enterprise to build ALLE – Ethiopia’s first wholesale cash-and-carry center which aims at working closely with local and international producers of FMCG to distribute food and close-to-food products at competitive prices so that end users (specially low income users) will get such products at affordable prices.
