VIA Water, in partnership with IBA Mozambique, successfully organized the 2nd round of the Via Water Knock Out Competition in Mozambique.

The second round of the Via Water competition in Mozambique was held on 26 January 2016. Twenty-one contestants convened for a workshop to improve their proposals on innovative solutions for water problems in Mozambican cities.

VIA Water is a Dutch programme, designed to support projects with innovative solutions for water problems facing cities in seven African countries. Through the programme, these solutions can be brought to life: with financial support (with a maximum of €200.000, per project), but also with the help of the (online) learning community.

In Mozambique, the contest is being organized in partnership with the Inclusive Business Acceleration facility and PLAMA, the national water platform.

The contest is divided into 4 rounds, where in each workshop they have the opportunity to learn, get feedback and improve their proposals. The best participants after four workshops will be offered custom made prizes with the aim to develop a full proposal for the VIA Water fund.

The next workshop will be held on the 16th February 2016.
