A group of 6 African agribusiness ventures involved in the 2SCALE program, had a match-making afternoon with six Dutch impact investors in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on Wednesday 28th of October.

From pineapple juice from Benin, to nutritious food products in Ethiopia, different business propositions were presented to the 6 investors. The investors, Incluvest, Inclusive Impact Investment of Oxfam, Oikocredit, PYMWYMIC, Aequitas Generations and ICCO Investments, mentioned they found this a great and efficient way to meet the ventures face to face, as an addition to meeting the ventures online.

This meet-up is a first introduction for these ventures to the Dutch impact investments scene. Together with the staff of the Inclusive Business Accelerator and the 2SCALE program, follow-up meetings will be organized in Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. In addition, some of the Dutch investors indicated it is needed that more coordination and interaction between impact investors will take place. Beginning of next year, Inclusive Impact Investments and the Inclusive Business Accelerator will organize an informal meet-up for these Dutch impact investors to kick-off a improved collaboration on investment opportunities in inclusive business.
